CALL FOR PROPOSALS TO ESTABLISH EU-KOREAN CLIMATE
PARTNERSHIPS
FOR JOINT RESEARCH AND PILOT PROJECTS IN THE AREAS OF
RENEWABLE ENERGY PROMOTION AND
ENERGY-EFFICIENT BUILDINGS
IN THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA
The EU-Korea Climate Action Project supports Climate Partnerships between Korean and European
non-state entities who commit to implement climate action in priority areas such as renewable
energy, energy efficiency in buildings, sustainable mobility, circular economy and best low-carbon
business practices.
To deliver the above objective, the project publishes Calls for Proposals in response to which a
minimum of two partners, one based in Korea and one in an EU Member State, can apply for
funding. You are invited to share your ideas for EU co-funded Joint Research or Pilot Projects that
contribute to Korea’s low-carbon energy transition efforts, fostering political commitment and
concrete climate action. Proposed actions are expected to focus mostly on activities or subjects
relevant to the Republic of Korea, with the exception of capacity building measures in the form of
study tours to EU Member States.
Climate Partnerships bring together actors from the following stakeholder categories: government
authorities below the national level, NGOs and CSOs, industry, business intermediaries and
businesses, academic and research institutes, and media organisations.
We are pleased to inform you that the project’s first call for proposals is now open.
The priority topics for this call are: ‘Renewable Energy’ and ‘Energy-Efficient Buildings’.
Please refer to the links below to download all information and documents about this call.
Proposals will be examined and evaluated on an ongoing basis by the Project Steering Committee
with the possible assistance of external experts.
