Call for Expressions of InterestRenewable Energy
Korea is a highly developed and industrialized country with an elaborate power supply infrastructure and an annual electricity generation of about 12MWh/capita. Penetration of renewable energy currently stands below 9%. Consequently, Korea’s electricity grid is designed to distribute electricity from stable, baseload generation facilities fueled by fossil resources or nuclear energy. However, considering Korea’s plan to achieve a 20% renewable energy share by 2030, themes such as the following could be addressed:
