Green Architecture Center and Renewable Energy Center, Korean Energy Agency
With the goal to develop and implement supporting policies and strategies for green buildings and monitor their impact and performance, the Green Architecture Center of Korean Energy Agency has been working on various area such as the certification, regulations and ‘Energy Accessor’ system for energy efficiency in buildings, monitoring system of energy consumption including the Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), and analysis of energy data including the management of Energy Data Analysis Centers (EDAC).
The Renewable Energy Center is the institution in charge of the use and deployment of new and renewable energy in Korea. It has been implementing diverse projects such as policy development, researches, certification, deployment of RE for buildings and communities, Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard (RPS) and Renewable Energy Fuel Standard (RFS) system, awareness raising, international cooperation, etc. In addition, the Center is also focusing on the programs to enhance industrial competitiveness of domestic industries and businesses related to renewable energy as the core energy resource in the future.
